The Moza HGP Shifter delivers an engaging and tactile experience with its robust design and fine-tuned mechanics. Made from aviation-grade aluminum, it’s built to last and feels solid in the hand, offering a smooth and precise gear-shifting feel. With a 7+R H-pattern layout and features like a lockable reverse and 7th gear, the Moza HGP shifter is tailored for both casual drivers and hardcore sim racers. Add in the intelligent downshift throttle blip system, and you've got a piece of hardware that feels as good as it performs.
What sets the Moza HGP Shifter apart?
- 7+R Gear Setup with Lockable Reverse and 7th Gear The H-pattern layout includes seven forward gears and a reverse, giving it broad appeal across different racing disciplines. What really stands out is the lockable reverse and 7th gear, which require downward pressure to engage. This prevents accidental shifts, adding peace of mind during intense racing sessions.
- Intelligent Downshift Throttle Blip This shifter is one of the few that offers an intelligent downshift throttle blip system. By automating heel-and-toe shifting, it helps you maintain smooth balance during aggressive downshifts. The blip function is fully customizable through Moza’s software, giving you control over how much assistance it provides.
- Aviation-Grade Aluminum Construction CNC-machined from aviation-grade aluminum, the HGP Shifter feels both sturdy and sleek. The material isn’t just for looks; it ensures durability and longevity, even with heavy use. The anodized finish further enhances its resilience, resisting wear and tear while giving it a professional feel.
- Replaceable Shift Knob For those who like to personalize their setup, the Moza HGP Shifter allows for replaceable shift knobs. This small but significant feature means you can swap out the knob to match your style or improve comfort, adding a layer of customization to your rig.

Moza HGP Shifter
The Moza HGP Shifter connects directly to your PC via USB or through a Moza wheelbase with a compatible shifter port, offering seamless integration into your existing setup. It works with most sim racing rigs, and for those without a rig, a dedicated desk clamp is available separately. However, it's not compatible with PlayStation or Xbox consoles, making it a more PC-centric piece of gear. Its flexibility with various aftermarket shift knobs allows for further customization.
When it comes to gaming platforms, the Moza HGP Shifter shines in the PC arena, fully supported by popular sim titles like Assetto Corsa, iRacing, and Dirt Rally. Unfortunately, it won’t work on console systems, which might be a drawback for some. For PC sim racers, it integrates well with Moza's Pit House software, offering customizable features like the throttle blip system for a more refined driving experience.
